Being a neurodivergent dog guardian isn’t always easy. What if you had a community to lean on?

The Confident Mutts Club is the only dog training membership that is made for neurodivergent dog guardians by neurodivergent dog trainers (Hi, that’s us!). Isn’t that wild!?

Look, we know that being a dog parent isn’t always a walk in the park.

Add on being neurodivergent or chronically ill and things become even more challenging!

Everything feels hard all the time, like you’re navigating life with your dog through quicksand. You might even feel like in order to follow advice and do what people on the internet tell you to do, you have to fight against how your brain and body work.

You might even be feeling stuck and overwhelmed when it comes to training your dog because…

The internet is the wild wild west full of contradicting dog training advice.

Your unique experiences as a neurodivergent person aren’t represented in common advice.

You feel alone and possibly ashamed when it comes to the struggles you experience.

You deserve to have a safe and welcoming space to learn more about navigating life with your dog!

Imagine a dog training club where:

  • You get to learn from trainers who understand what it’s like to have a neurodivergent brain.

  • You are welcomed by everyone and never judged for your struggles.

  • You aren’t an after thought or a burden, you’re a priority.

  • You receive dog training advice that is backed by science.

  • You get to request educational topics and provide feedback that is valued.

  • You can vent when things are hard and be treated with compassion.

  • You finally feel seen, heard, and like you belong!

Meet your multi-certified dog trainers!

Hi there! We’re Logan and Emily - and we’re here for you!

Not only are we multi-certified dog trainers, we’re also neurodivergent dog guardians. So, we know first hand what it’s like to live life with a dog, or multiple dogs, and a chaotic ass brain.

Long story short, we met and spent too many hours ranting about how the traditional way of training dogs was not working for our (undiagnosed at the time) ADHD.

This led to us dreaming of curating a space specifically for neurodivergent dog guardians like us! A space where everyone can be authentically themselves and have support navigating the challenges many of us face with neurodivergence's or chronic illnesses.

So, we created The Confident Mutts Club! The most, in our humble opinion, supportive, affirming, and neurodivergent-friendly space to learn about dog training and behavior in a way that honors your brain and body.

Force-Free

Our training is rooted in kindness, compassion, and positive reinforcement.

We always strive to avoid using punishment and stick to evidence and science-based methods.

Collaborative

We aren’t those “we tell you what to do and that’s it” trainers.

We work with you, ensuring that you feel good about the training. Teamwork makes the dreamwork!

Choice-Based

We strive to provide choice and agency for both you and your dog!

Our goal is to keep training fun and never force you or your dog to do anything that you don’t want to do.

“There is a lot of information out there, but I really trust Em and Log”

and so it’s easier to ignore the rest of the internet training noise and trust them with our problems and finding solutions. I know they have Scrappy’s best interest at heart! This is basically like continuing education for dog ownership and is really wonderful when you don’t have any local trainers you trust.
